Frances D. Calosso

I’m Frances, an Interior Design Director and Furniture Designer with over 15+ years experience in our industry.

The heart of my practice lies at the intersection of rigorous methodology, active mentorship and a passion for design that connects on a personal level. The details are my passion. The DNA of a thoughtful space can be found in the furniture, light fixtures and millwork, as well as curated vintage and antiques,

During my career to date, I have had the privilege to work alongside extraordinary talent at New York’s most prestigious hospitality firms: Roman and Williams, Rockwell Group, Islyn Studio and Creme Design.

Clients and operators with whom I’ve collaborated include Union Square Hospitality Group, Nobu Hotels, Kempinski Hoteliers, Ace Hotels, Sydell Group (Freehand Hotels), Ian Schrager Company, Highgate Hospitality, Kimpton, Sage Hospitality and Gerber Group.

As Product Designer with WeWork, I developed the physical product and brand standard for their unique, community-focused co-working spaces.  This included creation of the patent pending modular phone booth.

I have been honored to serve as an Interior Design guest critic at Drexel University and my alma mater, the Fashion Institute of Technology.
